We visited the museum and went to the café for lunch. At first there was no space but they suggested we'd have a wander round the museum while they kept an eye out for a space and would reserve it for us. Busy cafes are a good sign! And the food was absolutely wonderful! I'd been feeling under the weather and was in need of a proper nourishing meal - the thick vegetable soup had bags of flavour and was nice and filling. It was accompanied by a cheese and seaweed scone - something we'd never seen before but now definitely want to make at home! Service was warm and personal. Hopefully we will be back in Gairloch sometime and have lunch here again!

My wife and I stopped for lunch and had one of the best lunches on our 2 week tour of the highlands. Also the cakes looked amazing so of course had to have some of those too. Coffee was highland coffee roasters if interested and they can tell you where to buy. The staff were very friendly and we had a great conversations. Would recommend a stop here.

Catered for our allergy needs excellently by preparing a small batch of prawn cocktail which was dairy and chilli free. Thank you. The hot milk with the coffee was also a tasty treat.

Great cafe, yummy food, staff very friendly and nice to have table service. My daughter was disappointed she only got cucumber cause she doesn't like it but no reflection of food. Suggestion is kids could be given options for their side, like apple, grapes etc with toasties. Also kids baked potatoes might be a good option too. Loved my soup and delicious cheese scone. Also had a yummy hot chocolate.
